Who we are.

We are a family-owned business with a deep commitment to community, sustainability, and self-expression. Today, Uturn operates a network of retail stores and collection programs that work together to extend the life of clothing and reduce textile waste.

More than just a destination for preloved fashion, Uturn is a platform for creativity and conscious consumption, where every garment has a story, and every purchase supports a bigger purpose.

Our Milestones.

1980 - King Cotton established.

2004 - The Uturn retail arm established and first retail store opened.

2023 - Uturn internationally trademarked.

2024 - Uturn's seventh & eighth retail locations opened at the iconic Bondi Junction & Illawarra Road, Marrickville. King Cotton re-branded to Uturn

2025 - Uturn's ninth & tenth retail locations are opened - two outlets.Riverwood & Campbelltown. Our Campbelltown store spanning over 1000 sqm.

What we do.

Uturn collects, curates, and redistributes thousands of tonnes of clothing and textiles each year through a network of collection bins and store drop-offs.

Up to 95% of what we collect is reused or either recycled, either sold through our stores, repurposed, or distributed to communities in need locally and globally.

Since 1980, we've diverted over 200,000 tonnes of clothing from landfill, helping to reduce environmental impact while making fashion more accessible.

What we do.

Our work goes beyond retail. We partner with councils, charities, and organisations to:

It starts with you. Thousands of pieces come through our donation network every day, each with potential. Our team sorts and curates every item by hand, selecting the best for the floor.

We price each piece individually, based on brand, style, and condition, so you get great value, every time. Then we match product to place, giving every store its own unique vibe.

Finally, it all comes together in-store, where great finds, great energy, and great service turn every visit into a treasure hunt.
